The extensive network of lakes and rivers makes for unlimited paddling experiences in Northern Ontario. The voyageurs and coureur de bois established relationships with First Nation communities and paddled deep into their territories to establish trading posts at locations such as Moose Factory, Missinaibi, Pic River and Fort Hope.
